Madam Janet Olusola Kehinde Onileowo (Nee Sotowo) was born on the 17th of January 1944 to Pa Isaac Jolaoso Sotowo and Madam Adebola Helena Sotowo at Abeokuta in Ogun State, Nigeria. She had her early education at Oke Ona United School and then to Okesaje Baptist Day School Standard where she finished in1957. She proceeded to Alabama Secondary Modern School Okesaje 1960 where she completed her secondary education before proceeding to MidSun Typing Institute Sapon, Abeokuta 1961 to learn typing. Finally, she moved to the United Kingdom whe she attended the Pitman’s College Southampton in1965. She has worked in various places including but not limited to- Abeokuta Magistrate Court in 1961, Institute of Commerce & Industry 1962-1963, Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIR) 1963. She left Nigeria to London in 1963 and worked at Harrods of Knightsbridge in 1965, Ministry of Defence Regency Park Barracks London. She returned to Nigeria in 1968 to work at Metaloplastica Nigeria Limited until 1984. She finally worked at Kings Anglican Church Enu Owa, Lagos between 1984 and 1989 before finally retiring and coming home to take care of her home. She is a staunch member of the Anglican Communion all her life, starting from Holy Trinity, Ikereku, Abeokuta then to King’s Anglican Church, Enu Owa, Lagos after her marriage and finally to Christ Anglican Church, Elere, Lagos. A member of the Anglican youth Fellowship (AYF) all her life. She was a wonderful woman all through her life and she never failed to impact her loving nature to every one she comes across. We have known her all to our lives to call everyone of her children’s friend “My Child” She is gentle, soft-spoken and kind hearted. She has an amazing listening hear and is never bored with coming to her with one issue of the other. A down to earth mother who never chides away from scolding her kids or their friends when necessary. She has a wonderful sense of humour and her condition never at any time dampened her mood- always smiling. She is survived by- four (4) children Mrs. Toyin Okesanjo Mr. Yomi Onileowo Mrs. Funke Adebeshin Miss Nike Onileowo Three (3) grand children Yetunde Okesanjo Adenike Okesanjo Ademola Okesanjo Two (2) Sons-in-law Adeniyi Okesanjo Adebayo Adebeshin and brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
